Location photographer. Getting behind the scenes. Showing off the secret, and not so secret, treasures of the world.
CLIENT: Fleurieu Living Magazine
I’m heading to the launch of Autumn 2020 tonight… so here are some photos from Summer 2019/20. Oops, a bit behind…
I love working with Fleurieu Living Magazine. Exploring, meeting new people, having laughs, telling stories…
Fleurieu Living Magazine Summer shoot with Elise, Domenic and Scout...
Photographing Scout the van, Domenic and Elise Cook on a windy beach day at Sellicks… but we got pretty pics!
Sounded like a great idea. A fashion shoot on at Sellicks Beach, surrounded by the red-orange rocks, then a couple of pics up near the massive cactus on top of the cliffs.
Somebody forgot to tell the wind what we were doing. Trying to marry up the wind and sun to be in the right direction was a bit of fun...
But. We had fun. And we got some really great shots. I loved working with Elise and Domenic (and their van Scout). They know how to pose in front of the camera and they are also really awesome, chilled people. Check them out on Instagram here. https://www.instagram.com/elisecook/
Check out the pics used in Fleurieu Living Magazine by picking up a copy yourself! It's a great read and very pretty. :)
Leonards Mill with Fleurieu Living Magazine
Leonards Mill… in the (Second) valley down south. Worth the drive. You can stay overnight too.
That one time when on a shoot, I got adventurous. And ate pigs head. (It’s the crumbed balls and actually tasted ok).
A great place to eat while on a day trip down at the Fleurieu Peninsula. Just make sure you book first. I went down with Fleurieu Living Magazine and photographed staff, food and venue. Here are some of the pics…
Client showcase: Whyalla Caravan Park
A little sanctuary in Whyalla - an hour with Whyalla Caravan Park.
Whyalla Caravan Park - who's been? It's a quiet place, on the outskirts of town. I'd never heard of it until they called asking for one of my Editorial Packages.
As the sun was going down one day, I discovered the park. There are areas for workers, families, grey nomads and solo travellers in all sorts of accommodation. From grassy sites to villas to workers single rooms down the back.
There is a relaxed, and ultra green grassed, area right next to the bbq, perfect for lounging the afternoon away. A fire pit keeps you warm as the sun goes down.
Anyway, I worked myself silly for one hour, and here are the results... this is an Editorial Package which is a basic photo shoot and edit. Nothing weird and wonderful being enhanced here. :)
These are not advertising images where I work over them in retouch - removing all distractions, fixing light, and in fact, ensuring light is 'just right' for the shoot in the first place. We do what we can do with our one hour.
I'm pretty happy with the results - and most importantly, so is my client.
I'm heading Tasmania way in March for nearly a month - if you are down there and keen, get in touch! Or, please pass the word on. I can't wait to discover more of Tassie...
Destination photos 'on spec'
Theres more than one way to help clients... getting awesome photos with minimal fuss. Results? Pretty fantastic for everyone.
On a recent photo tour, I did photos for Goyder Council 'on spec'. We developed a shot list, the client organised talent, then we photographed. Nothing fancy - all natural light and realistic. It's the way photos should be when trying to sell a destination.
I really enjoyed the shoot, which was over two days - six hours on the first day and one hour on the second. I got to wander around, exploring different areas, popping my head into shops, taking photos of all the great things I saw. I loved the fact that people knew what I was doing so I didn't have to explain all the time or feel weird that people would be looking at me going 'what is she doing?'
This kind of shoot benefits everyone involved - I get some awesome stock photography, my client gets beautiful photos with minimal effort and the people we photograph get the opportunity to have some professional photos too.
If you are interested in having your business/area photographed, email me. I am always going places and will let you know when I'm next in your area - or we can organise a tour around your dates!
Taking a look inside my One Hour Editorial Photo Package...
Ever wondered what you get for your one hour Editorial photo shoot? Here is a sample from a recent shoot in Port Lincoln.
Over the last month, I have been doing some Regional Photo Tours.
I photographed towns, landscapes, sheep station, caravan parks, hotels, food and driven many kilometres (stopping every time I saw great light and a nice scene). I've had a lot of fun and got some really beautiful photos for my Clients.
Here is a sneak peek of what sort of photos you get from the one-hour editorial photo shoot. These are taken for Port Lincoln Hotel on my recent Eyre Peninsula tour.
Think this would work for you? Email me for some more details.
Regional photoshoot tours
Want, or need, better pics for your business? I'm heading regional... check out the dates and book your shoot.
Need photos?
Don't have $$$$ to spend on a full photo shoot?
Not happy with your own pics for social media?
Want awesome pics easy?
I've listened, and now I'm giving it to you. I know you realise how important photography is, but when it comes down to budget, there is always something more pressing.
Good photography builds a solid foundation for your marketing. Without it, you can spend thousands and not get the return on invest you hope to see. With just seconds to make an impression (online), you need to give it your best.
To help you get that impact and return on investment, I am doing Regional South Australian tours over the next few months. Not only will you be able to book an awesome package that offers lots of photos, but you won't have to pay any travel/accom fees either. Sounds great, yes?
On these tours, I am offering my Editorial Package which gets you...
